My current favorite open source software is SQLite by Dr. Hipp and System.Data.SQLite by Mr. Simpson. They are awesome together and the performance is amazing. I really believe in the open source system and it is not just charity work--it helps you develop as a programmer, and helps get your name out there, which attracts business. And Firefox makes 100 million a year for Mozilla (or will soon).
