I would just like to congratulate the Microsoft community for embracing MVC. I have been working with Ruby and Ruby on Rails for over 2 years now. MVC is definitely the tits. Being a new C# developer, the whole Web Forms thing was confusing as hell to me. But I whipped out a prototype for a internal website in no time using .net MVC. Once you immerse yourself in MVC, its hard not to think in those terms. Can't wait for 4.0 and then I'll really feel comfortable with c#.

I'll agree with the previous comment. I thin WebForms has its place, but MVC is a great place to start for a beginner. Actually, I think it'll make you appreciate WebForms more once you get to them. If you're looking for a good tutorial that actually uses ASP.NET MVC, check out my blog post here on Scott Guthrie's recent e-book tutorial: http://www.joshjordan.com/scott-guthries-aspnet-mvc-e-book-tutorial-nerddinner-244
