I just love these libraries. Personally i use mootools. The differences between them are minor.

Its a text document. What is this, CotDC or DotNetKicks? Read it, anyhow. I'd rather kick jquery.com than a text document, without any samples or examples, about it.

jQuery is great. And, works along side ASP.NET AJAX without conflict.

I'm a prototype user. This is the first time I was reading things about jQuery. I thought I might have a deeper look in it. I checked out the main jquery site, was reading some documentation. Then I googled for some prototype vs jquery. I found some interesting things...

http://encytemedia.com/blog/articles/2006/08/23/jquery-mis-leading-the-pack
http://ajaxian.com/archives/benchmark-prototype-and-jquery

Each has it's pro's and con's... as everything. I'll stick to the prototype / scriptaculous combination.

TweeZz, those benchmarks are a tad dated (October 2006). jQuery 1.1.3, which was just released, is much faster than previous versions -- see http://jquery.com/blog/2007/07/01/jquery-113-800-faster-still-20kb/ .

Personally, I've drifted from prototype/scriptaculous to Mootools...but after giving jQuery a good long look after seeing this on DNK I'm likely to use it on my next project.
