As a result of AjaxNinja's article and other customer complaints, DiscountASP.NET went and tested Community Server 2007 on their servers and verified that CS2007's memory footprint exceeds DiscountASP.NET's 100 megabyte limit. Since then, DiscountASP.NET has removed all advertising related to their support of Community Server 2007.

What happened to the download links for ASP.NET Forums on the www.asp.net website? As soon as Community Server 1.0 came out the links disapearred. I didn't really think of it at the time, but now that I want to set up a Forum I would like the old ASP.NET Forums. I just looked at the CommunityServer.org website and it doesn't even look like there is a free version anymore. The cheapest version is the Personal Edition and it costs $99!

Get del.icio.us blog posting working with Community Server

del.icio.us has a cool feature where you can have their service post to your blog regularly. The catch - they're set up more for movable type's XML-RPC interface. These folks created an XML-RPC service to accept such posts and put them into community server.

Scott Watermasysk has released an update to the CS.Module pack for Community Server. The ShareIt module is now configurable, you can now add/remove links as well as rearrange the order. A 'kick it' link is included, hopefully the 'kick it' link will be added to weblogs.asp.net in the next update
