rubydotnet.googlegroups.com — Ruby.NET is a compiler that translates Ruby source code into .NET intermediate code.
They are close to a release (I think Msft licensed some of their code for IronRuby) and it might be worthwhile investigating if you can't wait for the DLR and IronRuby. read more...

While we at QUT will continue to be heavily involved in the project, we plan to transfer full control and ownership of the project to the open source community. To signify this new beginning, the new project will be named simply "Ruby.NET" (rather than "Gardens Point Ruby.NET") and a new licence agreement will be developed (by the community). A source code repository will be created external to QUT that will be directly assessable to developers in the community to make contributions." read more...

plas.fit.qut.edu.au — "We are pleased to announce the release of a new Beta (version 0.6) of the Gardens Point Ruby.NET compiler. Implementation is not yet complete but we have now implemented the vast majority of Ruby's builtin classes and modules. We have fixed large numbers of existing bugs, but many still remain. We have not yet implemented continuations or Ruby threads but support most other language features." read more...

But thus far, the fruits of this effort have eluded .NET programmers in any finalized form.
