How to deploy a webservice by hand

When you search the web for webservice deployment you always hear: "Setup a Web Setup project ." Sure, that's the easiest solution, but not if you see it in a wider scope. So here's the manual way of deploying a .NET WebService (and it's a really simplay way)

Ballmer Still Searching for an Answer to Google

Microsoft may be the only company in a position to provide "any real competition" for Google in the online search business, CEO Steve Ballmer said Thursday. But first it will need to figure out a way to do it. . . The CEO offered little in the way of new insights during the evening, except that Microsoft will discuss "Project Red Dog," its secretive cloud computing initiative, at the Microsoft Professional Developer Conference next month.

In this posting I'm going to show how you can generate a Webservice-Proxy on the fly in PowerShell. After that we'll use it with a SharePoint WebService. To generate the Webservice-Proxy Source Code we will use the Windows SDK Tool wsdl.exe. Then we'll compile the generated code with the .NET Framework Compiler csc.exe and load it into the PowerShell.

Webhostforasp.net uses IIS7 which simplifies web server management. IIS7 is able to provide a simplified, task-based management interface, greater cross-site control, security enhancements, and integrated health management for Web Services.
With IIS7 and .NET Framework 3.0, our customers are able to efficiently connect users to each other and to their data. Users are able to visualize and share data on a much higher level.

Web services security

Introduction

Securing a Web service is possible using WSE (Web Services Enhancements) for .NET. We can define the security requirements for both incoming and outgoing SOAP Messages this we can call it is a policy.

We can define the policy in two ways

MTOM Support to web service

Overview of MTOM

Using MTOM an application can send or receive a large amount of data. MTOM allows message-level security to be applied to the message including binary data. MTOM encodes the SOAP message and transmits the message as XML.

Following is the procedure to send large amount of data using MTOM
