As of today, there are 58 days left to submit your entries in the Community Coding Contest. There are more prizes than just two MSDN Premium Subscriptions with Visual Studio Team System 2008 Suite being given away; a few companies have donated additional prizes too! View the Prizes page for a full list of the prizes being given away. Also, if we get a ton of entries, we may be able to get more prizes donated! Once the entry phase of the contest is finished, the website will be opened up for the community to vote on the winners. We aren't going to have a panel of judges that might give the prizes to people they know. YOU the community are going to be in charge to judging the contest, on any criteria you want, to decide who wins these awesome prizes!

Community Coding Contest Entries Now Being Accepted!

Contest entries are now being accepted for the Community Coding Contest! Just register on the site, then go to the Submit Entry page to submit your entry. Remember, don't forget to review the entire Contest Rules before submitting your entry. Also, as soon as your entry is submitted it will be displayed on the website and made available for download for others to see and play around with. When submitting your entry, you will be given the option to enter a url where your project is hosted at, if your already hosting it somewhere, you be able to upload a ZIP file containing your project entry, and you'll be able to upload a screenshot to be displayed on the contest website. Community Coding Contest Website Launched!

This is the Community Coding Contest, that I originally announced on my blog, as a method to give away 3 MSDN Premium subscriptions that I recieved from Microsoft (because I'm an MVP) to give away as I see fit. This coding contest is the best way I could think of to give them away. I'm hoping to see many people enter, and no project is to big or small. Let the fun begin!

The Community Coding Contest will run from July 1 through Sept. 30, 2008. The community will vote to decide the winners. The top 3 entries will each be awarded 1 MSDN Premium Subscription with Visual Studio Team Suite, and the 4th place entry will be awarded Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 and Visual Studio 2008 Professional. Here's an awesome chance to write some code and win some awesome prizes! I am also looking for sponsors to donate additional prizes to give away.
