The DotNetKicks Effect - Enjoy While it Lasts
Front page could also be redesigned to promote the upcoming links more. Maybe one column for popular ("front paged") kicks and another for Upcoming links. Or at least 10 latest upcoming links.
I usually just follow the Kick Spy!,

, to spot latest links and another activity, like comments.

Why Microsoft Will Win, and Dominate the Web.
WPF is better for desktop apps as it is aimed to replace WinForms. Silverlight is practically just a subset of WPF so there's really no reason to use it for desktop apps. Once you learn other, it is easy to switch between Silverlight (2.0) and WPF so they support each other well.

Creating JSON-enabled WCF services in .NET 3.5
Yeah, I noticed this before the other article, but I thought it was more thorough. Also the method described in this post requires one to embed the whole service class right into the .svc file instead of code-behind (not something that I would do in production code)

Sharepoint 2007 from an interface developer’s view
I have been following closely many people at many companies struggling with MOSS customization projects. Sure it offers some services out of the box, but then it is painful to do some very simple things that are a breeze with plain ASP.NET.
It is a good product for internal project sites and collaboration but too immature (and expensive) for CMS use.

Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 RTM
From the article:
"For developers using Visual Studio 2005 on Windows Vista, Microsoft is working on an update to Visual Studio 2005 SP1 called the Visual Studio 2005 SP1 Update for Windows Vista. This update builds on the improvements made in Visual Studio 2005 SP1 and delivers an improved user experience for developers using Vista, sources said. The Visual Studio 2005 SP1 Update for Windows Vista is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2007, after the consumer launch of Vista, which is slated for the end of January, sources said."
Apparently there are are some issues with Vista, but can't say how well the Visual Studio 2005 SP1 works on Vista as of now, as I haven't personally tried.

Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 RTM
btb73: That's true. One should also uninstall Web Application Project before installing the SP1, as it is already included in the service pack. More good tips in ScottGu's blog: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/12/15/visual-studio-2005-service-pack-1-sp1-released.aspx
