I Am a .Net Programmer...and Am Proud of It!

So, we have (oops, I mean, had) a self-confessed masochistic .Net programmer by the name of Clinton Forbes who hated Microsoft products. Reading through his post you will find a list of sins Microsoft has committed. These sins irked him so much that he labeled all C# and Vb.Net coders as "cynical and old bastards"....

Some exciting news for C++ developers

Herb Sutter announced some very exciting news coming from the C++ committee. We can look forward to lambda expressions, closures, inheriting constructors, nested exceptions, and more.

Towards Bug-Free Code

The only way to have bug-free code is to mathematically prove the code. Very few programs in the world are mathematically proved.

.NET 3.5 Framework Distribution Size

....This is certainly an issue that's making me think twice - at least right now - of using .NET 3.5 for vertical/desktop applications. Distribution sizes do matter and people are weary of downloading a 200 meg runtime in order to run an application that has a 2 meg footprint on its own.
