Does the Fluent NHibernate create static XML mapping files?

This was one of the first questions I had when I started learning about the Fluent Nhibernate API. In this article, I want to explain why the API does not need to create static XML files. This API can create static XML files, but it is not necessary.

David Laribee gave a talk on Domain-driven Design at DevTeach this week and Greg Young took a video of it and put it up on his blog for your viewing pleasure. Dave always gives a great presentation and has great slides and presentation style. It's definitely worth watching if you're interested in DDD and/or alternatives to more traditional forms of .NET application data access.

I once heard someone say that "SQL is the assembly language of the business application world" and I totally agree with this (I linked to Jett Attwood's post above, but I heard it somewhere else first and my Google-fu is failing me tonight).

Microsoft and framework designers: Stop using static, internal, sealed

A public call for Microsoft and other framework designers to stop burying useful functionality in their APIs and preventing consumers from using or overriding critical parts of the API.

ASP.NET Web Service Tips: Documentation

Write your Own Help page for the ASP.NET Web service application. Sometimes you might not like the autogenerated Help page and want to add your own company logo and put your own descriptive help page.

Seamless inline text editing with ASP.NET AJAX

This is a technique that I really like. It's excellently suited to intranet sites and administrative interfaces, where your users are typically familiar enough with the application to know which text they can click to edit. It's actually very easy to implement, with a small amount of JavaScript. Update: This functionality is also available as an ASP.NET server control.

Your first ****** stinks!

I know some people admire decisiveness and sometimes it's justified and valuable. Other times making a rash decision is going to cause nothing but pain. I've seen this come up lately in regards to both designing software and estimating projects.
