Yeah, I guess they've never heard of DiscountASP.NET or GoDaddy.com

These are nice, but they aren't Icons; .ico files I mean. And, they are really small at on 10x10 pixels. The famfamfam silk icons aren't much better at 16x16 pixels.
Does anyone know where there are nice icons like this that are at least 32x32 or 48x48, and possibly actual .ico icons?

I know, I hate blog spam too, but the only reason I posted this with a link to my blog is so we can post the same news for next years MIX without DNK thinking its already been posted.

The title is misleading. This is actually JavaScript Intellisense support for Virtual Earth in Visual Studio 2008.

Yes, you can, and if you read my post, you would see that I stated that "Protected Abstract" is what to use in this case.

These are tips on UI Design, not Application Design. The title is incorrect.

The Free, not for Commerical use version is limited to 3 content publishers. That mean you can only have three users with the Free version. This is fine when using it for a single persons website, but not really far beyond that.

Nice, well done Scott!

I also think it's interesting that so many people who don't know ScottGu think it's this interesting that he's been promoted. It just shows how "famous" he is, even if it's just within the small .NET development communitee.

um... This post is not correct. The first thing it says is "Do not use XML files as the sole data storage device, for XML files are not ideal for constant data operations (delete, insert, update).". I stopped reading after that.

The best thing you can do when designing where your website will store its data is to build the data access layer using the provider model. This way you can always and easily change your mind and move you data to any store you want, and you wont be bound to your first choice of data storage.
