I think this is the worst advice on exception handling I have ever read, sorry Joel. I know this is an old post, I know Joel is entitled to his own opinion and I know he has the right to write his code as he sees fit. But as an opinion leader he influences others.

Did you know there is a full IE browser inside SQL Server Management Studio? Just click on "View", then "Other Windows" then "Web Browser". I use this to hit a server that has a report of various server's status.

Someone asked in a forum: Why is there no ICloneable<T> only ICloneable? Good question. It wouldn't have taken too much effort to introduce a generic version when .NET 2.0 came out. But I think MS had a good reason not to introduce ICloneable<T>. And that's because they realized that ICloneable sucks in the first place! Why is that? Because it is effectively undefined what cloning does
