Tried it this morning and it works great.

It would be nice if it would minimise to the tray.

I interpreted the 'control the data format exchanged' as you can work at a lower level exchanging data as apposed to working with the UpdatePanel (when in control of both sides). I'm sure ASP.NET AJAX has support for low level too, but I haven't used it much.

I kicked this story as it shows at a low level how to use jQuery and ASP.NET. Of course you shouldn't use this for production, but the example highlights the workings of jQuery which is worth a kick from me.

That may be the case but this is not the place to teach them.

There are no rules on this, the fact that the post got a lot of kicks means that the post is certainly OK. We are working on a FAQ and will include an entry on what is and what is not acceptable.

Perhaps people are annoyed because you only seem to submit stories on MyGeneration. Maybe you could submit some other good stories that yo come across from time to time?

This is more of a design tweak than a redesign. I personally prefer the current version although it is a quite ugly design. Any new site redesign should probably start from a blank slate - forget the current colours and structure.

We do support multiple templates and you are welcome to turn this into one if you like. We'll soon allow users to choose whichever template they like.

Yikes! The Urlify bug strikes again. I'll add a test for this.
