I've used Ankh with web application projects over the last 6 months. It does everything I need, but it crashes occasionally. I don't think Ankh supports importing or getting entire solutions. I've always checked out with TortoiseSVN and then the first time I open the solution Ankh asks me if it should take over.

If VisualSVN is more stable than Ankh I may consider purchasing it. I didn't realize they had a free trial, so I'll have to give it a try.

Also, the VisualSVN Server is awesome. It's a one click (almost) windows installer for Subversion server. It even includes an http svn explorer.

I also wish I read this a few weeks ago. I spent the better part of a night trying to configure an SVN server on Windows XP.

In my experience, I've seen that MySql is fine and dandy for small apps or basic php scripts, but it doesn't cut it for enterprise level development. This article explains why.

I can't think of anything in particular, but I know there are a few large global .Net groups that could promote it.

Phalanger is pretty cool. I haven't used it to compile php, but I've used the VS addin to edit php code in VS.
