I have frequently used certain web browser tools or add-ons if you like to aid me in my every day web development. Through the course of time I have learn to use these tools to become a better web developer. In this post, I will make a list of all the web browser tools or add-ons I find most useful to the professional web developer.

Free HTML Encoder written in C#

This is quite a very useful utility when you want to encode script, HTML tags and even charcters like " ; &" etc into valid chracters so that you could input them into a WYSIWYG with any problems. It is quite a neccessary tool if you are a blogger or an administrator of a CMS application.

Using jQuery with ASP.NET MVC

For the sake of this article, I'm going to assume you're already at least basically familiar with jQuery. My goal here is not to teach how to use jQuery, but rather how jQuery might be used against the new ASP.NET 3.5 MVC Extensions. For this post, I'm going to work with the Edit In Place tutorial by Jack Born.

asp.net mvc -> the rise of the messy controllers

ll the buzz these days goes to asp.net mvc and as many others, I'm loving it!

Messing around with it, and looking at samples of others, I see the controllers tend to get quite messy. Where normally the codebehinds got messy, it's now moved to the controllers.
