Tnx for your comment and next time i might just do that but in a thread like that, both sides made good points and not all the readers might agree with my view point.... I thought it might be easier to link to the complete thread than just take some point I thought were interesting!

SELECT TOP Statements

Sorry if it is too basic... I needed to know these statements and thought it might be usefull to some other developers... I only needed to know the exact statements per type of sql server and nothing else... very basic!

I would reconcider posting stuff like this in the future!!
