code.msdn.microsoft.com — The SSCLI 2.0 was released in March 2006, and the build scripts relied on VS 2005 to work. With VS 2008, a number of things have changed, and SSCLI 2.0 doesn't build with it. I was undertaking the needed mods to the build scripts when I got lazy and decided to see if someone else did it already. Jeremy Kuhne was just this someone. He published the details of getting VS 2008 to build SSCLI on his blog. I followed these meticulous instructions and made a few other changes and was able to get SSCLI to build and pass all the tests that could run on my machine. Perhaps this diff will save you a few minutes of typing.
