This tool looks promising. I wish something like this was integrated into Visual Studio.

Isn't Notepad still free? Even notepad2 is free. However this is very cool and a great idea. Thanks.

@mdopp for those of us that don't understand the web.config very much gui tools make things a tad bit easier to figure it out.

Here is a direct link:

Also this tool is basically just an xml editor, but it is nice. Nothing wrong with being an evil genius and knowing everything about web.config, but there is something to be said for a tool that makes it easier, and therefor is good for business.

@percent20
I agree. However it would be best .net practices to learn how the web.config works down the road.
I say this due to the fact most web developers have a hard time using and understanding basic xml correctly.
However this is not the forum for this. Thanks for the tool. It is very useful to have a gui representation.

I agree with you @mdopp, I had to do everything myself in the web.config, and had to remember everything, and that teached me a lot about web.config and XML structure.
On the other hand, I bet that whenever you want to add anything in web.config, you just google it out to remember where to put everything, and really having to do that all the time is not that easy, and consumes a lot of time. In Visual Studio 2003, there is no intellisence for web.config, and the intellisence in VS 2005 and 2008 aren't that good. I searched for this tool a long time ago but didnt find it, and finally got it! I strongly agree with @tdavisjr that this tool must have been integrated in Visual Studio, or at least a nice and effective intellisence would have done everything!
Anyway, thank you very much for your visit and your comment :) ;)

and thanks everybody for your comments :)
